The start of a new year can bring much anticipation as many look forward to news from their favorite developers and publishers. We kicked off the year with unforgettable events last month showcasing some of the most anticipated games releasing this year and beyond.
MIX | Kinda Funny Partnership
For this year's Spring showcases, we joined forces with Kinda Funny across multiple formats - online showcase, live stream and the onsite event in San Francisco.
The March 15 online showcase included an exclusive new trailer reveal for Jay and Silent Bob Chronic Blunt Punch, a special publisher spotlight on Maximum Entertainment, a Kingdom: Two Crowns expansion teaser and much much more.
As GDC week kicked off, folks from the Animal Well, Limited Run, Surmount, Pepper Grinder, Children of the Sun, Sulfur, ANTONBLAST, Nightshift Galaxy, The Signal, Esophaguys, Rose & Camellia, Shantae and Rugrats: Adventures in Gameland teams joined The MIX and Kinda Funny hosts at the Kinda Funny studio March 18 to share their games.
IGN, GameSpot and Twitch again provided excellent support and high visibility for the games, teams and the showcase along with a dedicated event page on Steam.
Onsite Showcase
March 18 evening continued the celebration at Terra Gallery in San Francisco with over 60 games onsite for press and industry guests to play and enjoy!
Event guests included many top journalists, influencers and streamers from Kinda Funny, IGN, CNET, Future Publishing, Eurogamer, Rock Paper Shotgun, Shack News, Ars Technica, Nintendo World Report, Indie Informer, along with industry guests from leading publishers, Xbox, PlayStation, Limited Run, Twitch, and more!

We also helped host presentations from developers in ID@Xbox's Developer Acceleration Program which helps empower underrepresented creators with the resources and information needed to bring their creativity, innovation, and originality to Xbox. Additional info on this program here.
SFMOMA Indie Games Gallery
We launched a new partnership up with SFMOMA to turn the White Box gallery into an indie games pop-up arcade featuring talented game developers with a focus on stunning aesthetics and innovative gameplay.
Thanks to everyone who shared their games in these showcases, sponsored, partnered and joined the teams for the events!
