Synopsis:
Nightshift Galaxy is a 3rd-person arcade-style mecha shooter with a light-hearted tone. You play as a rag-tag team of contract mecha pilots taking on sketchy gigs to pay the bills. Each of the three mecha have a unique moveset and playstyle, allowing players to play and replay each level in different ways.
Key Features:
Three unique playable mecha, each with their own different special abilities
A) The Rabbit - the balanced choice: transforms between a ground mode and a jet
B) The Spider - a tank that’s ground-mode only, but can zipline and wall-climb, and has heavy weaponry
C) The Falcon - the more skilled, high-risk, high-reward option. Very fast and powerful, but also fragile.
Deeply replayable levels
Variety of map types (Moon gravity, free exploration worlds, rail shooter, Descent-esque tunnels, zero G)
Levels are replayable w/ different mechs/weapons
Each level will have a checklist of progressively more challenging objectives to accomplish. Complete more objectives to earn more money and unlock more upgrades
Lots of easter eggs and secrets to discover in each level
Leaderboards to see how well or quickly you completed a level compared to other players online or your friends
Fight against enemies as big as planets
Enemies will vary in size from similar to the size of your mech, to the size of large buildings/cruisers, and all the way up to moons and planets.
Tap into the “Luke blowing up the Death Star” fantasy as the little pilot defeating a massive enemy.
Customizable mecha weapons and abilities
As you progress in the game and earn more money, you’ll be able to buy upgrades to change your mecha, and DIY your mech into something ludicrous
Campy and light-hearted retro anime world and characters
Play as a ragtag team of working-class hired guns trying to survive from gig to gig.
Have run-ins with space pirates, quirky aliens, moon mobsters, and more as you explore this world
