Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days is a side-scrolling shelter survival game set in 1980s Texas, where you must do whatever it takes to keep a vulnerable and disparate group of zombie apocalypse survivors alive in the chaos of a fallen Walton City. Scavenge for resources, craft tools and weapons, and encounter threats both living and undead while you search for new shelter locations in the race to stay one step ahead of the relentless zombie threat. Combining the tension of survival horror with the mechanics of stealth and crafting games, Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days delivers a replayable experience where your choices affect the survivors' journeys and ultimately their plan of escape.

  • Tension and dread: Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days portrays the horror of a society only a few weeks into its downfall - an exploration of increasing tension, dread, and stress brought on by time and resource pressure. Time-limited escape plans force quick decision-making, while every day you spend at a shelter attracts more zombie attention - and more attempts to break your fortifications. Defeat might just as easily come from zombie enemies as it does from the increasing needs of your survivors.

  • Humanity Tested: Our zombies aren't cannon fodder - they display haunting remnants of their past lives and seek comfort in each other, calling into question where the line exists between monster and human. We want you to feel the emotional impact of killing zombies to ensure your own safety.

  • Observe, Plan, and Adapt: You can't simply hack and slack your way out of this zombie apocalypse. You will need to manage resources, juggle weapon durability, and constantly scavenge and craft to adequately supply your survivors. Find, clear, and reinforce dozens of different shelters with many different capabilities, choose your path as you explore the varied districts of Walton City, and uncover and work toward a number of escape plan choices.

  • Replayability: Survivor deaths are permanent and there are multiple ways to escape the city. Throughout Early Access, the team will incorporate player feedback and have plans to implement additional weapons, locations, NPC factions, character bonds, and more.
